Easy Degree (website easydegree.ai and the iOS app) is operated by Gavin Thomas Worrell, an individual based in Colorado, USA, who is the data controller for the information below. Contact: support@easydegree.ai. We don't sell your personal data.

• Account: email address, username, full name, password (stored hashed by our auth provider), and an Apple or Google account identifier if you sign in that way on the web. Why: to create and secure your account.
• School and program: school, major, minor, graduation term, target GPA and optional career interests. Why: to show the right requirements and tailor advisor answers.
• Courses, grades and GPA: courses, credits, grades, terms and plans you enter, import or approve. Why: to calculate GPA, degree progress and your plan.
• Transcripts and degree audits (optional): text or files you upload are sent to our AI provider to extract courses. We store the extracted courses, a summary of the audit and the file name — not the original file. Why: to import your record.
• AI advisor chats: your messages and the replies, plus a daily chat count. Why: to answer you, show your history and apply the free-plan limit.
• Tutor listings (optional): what you choose to publish to students at your school.
• Subscription status: plan, status, renewal date and a Paddle customer ID. We never receive your card number.
• Device and ad data (iOS app, free plan only): Google AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier (only if you allow tracking), IP address, device type and ad interactions. Why: to show and measure ads.
• Technical logs: IP address, browser/device type and error reports kept by our hosting provider. Why: security and fixing bugs.

Contract (to provide the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, fixing bugs), consent (personalized ads via Apple's tracking prompt; optional uploads), and legal obligation (tax and accounting records held by Paddle).

• Lovable Cloud (built on Supabase) — hosting, database, authentication and storage.
• Lovable AI Gateway, which routes requests to Google (Gemini) and OpenAI models — AI advisor, transcript and audit reading. It receives your message and a summary of your academic data.
• Paddle.com — our Merchant of Record for Pro purchases on the website: payments, tax, invoicing and subscription management.
• Google AdMob — ads in the free iOS app. No account, course, grade, transcript or chat data is ever sent to it.
• Apple / Google — only if you use their sign-in on the website or subscribe to your calendar feed.
• Professional advisers and authorities, only where required by law.

Some providers are in the United States; data is protected in transit and at rest and processed under their data-protection terms.

Only you. Database rules restrict every academic record to the account that created it, except a tutor listing you choose to publish.

We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, all of it — profile, courses, transcripts, audits, chats, plans and notifications — is deleted immediately from our database. Server logs expire automatically within about 30 days. Paddle keeps payment records as tax law requires.

You can access, correct, export or delete your data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent. Export and deletion are in Profile → Your data; if you can't sign in, see Delete your data. For anything else, email support@easydegree.ai — we reply within 30 days. California residents have the right to know, delete and correct, and not to be discriminated against for using these rights; we don't sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising on the website. UK/EEA users may complain to their data protection authority. You can turn off ad tracking anytime in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Encryption in transit, hashed passwords, per-account database access rules and limited admin access.

The website uses only essential local storage, with no advertising or analytics cookies. Details in our Cookie Policy.

Easy Degree is not directed to children under 13, and you must confirm you're 13 or older to sign up. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13; if you believe we have, email support@easydegree.ai and we'll delete it.

We only send account emails (confirmation and password reset). We don't send marketing email.
