Privacy Policy

Easy Degree is operated by Gavin Thomas Worrell, who is the data controller for the information described here. Easy Degree stores the academic information you give it so it can show your progress and GPA. Your data is private to your account, we don't sell it, and you can delete it at any time.

• Account: email address, username, and display name, plus Google or Apple sign-in identifiers if you use them.
• Academic data you enter: school, major, minor, courses, credits, grades, terms, planner layout and goals.
• Transcript uploads (optional): the file you upload is sent to our AI provider to extract courses, credits and grades. We store the extracted courses and the file name — not the file itself.
• Tutor listings (optional): anything you publish so other students at your school can contact you.

• To calculate your GPA, degree progress and plan.
• To answer your questions in the AI advisor, which receives a summary of your academic data with each request.
• To generate a private calendar feed when you turn calendar sync on.

We do not sell your data and we never share your academic records with advertisers or with your school. The free iOS app shows ads (see below); your courses, grades and advisor conversations are never used to target them.

Only you. Access rules on our database restrict every academic record to the account that created it. The one exception is a tutor listing, which you choose to publish — other signed-in students at your school can see the name, subjects, rate and contact details you put in it.

We use hosting, database/authentication and AI providers to run the app. Content you send to the AI advisor or the transcript reader is processed by those providers to produce a response. Calendar feeds you subscribe to are fetched by Google or Apple at their own schedule.

Payments for Easy Degree Pro are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles billing, tax, invoicing and payment support. We receive your subscription status and a Paddle customer identifier, but we do not store full payment card details on our servers.

The free version of the iOS app shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers, approximate location derived from IP address, and ad interaction data to deliver and measure ads, under Google's own privacy policy. On iOS you're asked for App Tracking Transparency permission first: if you decline, ads are shown non-personalized. Easy Degree Pro removes ads entirely, and no account, academic or transcript data is ever sent to the ad network.

We process account and academic data to perform our contract with you, security and fraud data under our legitimate interests, and advertising personalization only with your consent. We keep your data while your account is open and delete or anonymize it when you delete your account or after prolonged inactivity.

Depending on where you live, you may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent (including ad tracking, via iOS settings). Export and deletion are built into the Profile screen; for anything else, contact us and we'll respond within one month. UK/EEA users may also complain to their supervisory authority. We protect data with encryption in transit, access controls and per-account database rules.

• Edit or delete any course, grade or plan item from inside the app.
• Turn calendar sync off or reset the feed link on the Planner.
• Ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it; we'll remove it within 30 days.

Easy Degree is intended for college students and is not directed at children under 13.

If this policy changes materially we'll show a notice in the app. Questions or deletion requests: use the contact address listed in your app store listing or on the sign-in screen. See also our Terms of Service.
